I have used Des. implants for some time now. Dr. Wagner gave Brownie her first one 3 1/2 years ago now. Dr. Gold has been using them for just over a year now. I will be taking my kids in next tuesday for their next round of Des. implants. They so far have all had incredible results!!!! Brownie's this year didn't bring back all of her fur, but most of it. And she has now swollen girl parts!

I am so sorry somehow missed responding to this! A little of both. I always watch for symptoms. For some it lasts a year and others it has lasted much longer. However we always go in for a re-check at 1year and then every 2 months after if we don't give the implant again at 1 year. When there is any sign of symptoms we go right back. If they have not got a new implant in 18 months we do another one regardless of symptoms. I have only had one ferret that needed a second implant in less than 1 year. He got a second one at 10 1/2 months. Angie

That's interesting, Buttons nigh on made 18months to the day. We booked her in, as it was 18months, and the day she went in to have it, was when you suddenly realised that she needed it, if you know what I mean.
