This is actually for dog rescues, but hey, it could happen to a ferret rescue too. I thought this was an awesome idea, and the lady in the interview is pretty cool for doing this. She's right though. If you go looking through petfinder or shelter sites, most of the pictures are blurry, or sad looking or like the dog is possessed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLzjgHR-ZMg&feature=share

That is such a nice story.
We had the same conversation a couple of years ago at a ferret rescue, as most of the pictures were pretty much of a scruffed ferret, hanging there mid yawn, which while it is funny/cute to ferret lovers who know what the ferret is really like, to a potential new homer, it looks scary and bitey. What most people forget when taking pictures is the background makes such a difference as well.
Good on them, lets hope more people help out.

I saw that story on TV, a great idea to showcase an adoptable animal and make them so much more appealing. I just said yesterday to Will, wouldn't it be nice if the photo/video of dog the news shows every morning (a dog that is on it's last days at animal control) wasn't behind that kennel chain link cage...really the dog looks like a convict and you can really see beauty of them.

This is soooo wonderful! It's one of those small things you don't always think about... but can make a HUGE change! This is wonderful inspiring. =)
Just shows you can make a big change with just a small donation (even time doing something you're good at and/or love doing anyways).
