Grand Prairie Ferret Needs Help!

I got this email from a guy this morning and I have absolutely no idea what to do.

"hey i have a white-ish ferret really cool lil guy, but i cant afford a cage
and i have had him for 3 days. All i have for him is a lil pet carrier and i
really need to find a perm home for him. If you have any ?'s feel free to
call me @ ***-***-**** i dont even know if it is a boy or girl. I thought he
was cute and my friend sold him to me for 50 bucks so thats all i ask for
maybe less for right home. I had know idea they need some attention i
thought they were just like a cat or dog, but i was wrong."

At first, I was pissed off, but then my boyfriend pointed out to me that at least this guy is trying to do the right thing and find this ferret a new home. But I emailed him back, asking him where exactly he's located, what he's feeding the ferret, does the ferret have a litterbox, etc. He never emailed me back, so I'm going to try to call him here in a few minutes. I really want to give this ferret a home, seeing as how I've been looking for another one. What should I do?

If you want him, make the drive, just be sure you have the money to get him into the vet pretty much immediately since it doesn't sound like he's ever had real good care. He wont give it to Millie.He wants to make back some of his money.Thats if the friend does not come take it back first.

I talked to him today. He wants at least 35 bucks, firm and he won't agree to meet me anywhere. He told me he finally let the ferret out to play today for a couple of hours and surprise, surprise, the ferret enjoyed being out of his tiny carrier. Does anyone in this area want a ferret? It's a 35 dollar ferret...

the man does sound flakey. Anyways I would give his number to Animal Controll. He shouldent even be jokeing around like that. You should also make a post on Craigslist to warn others.

If the guy did have a ferret maybe he found it a better home or got a nice big cage.
