I got this email from the wonderful lady at Northern Nevada Ferret
Network and I'd love it if we could step up to the plate and help
out. Anyone interested or knows of a QUALITY ferret person, someone
who knows what they are getting into, or are willing to learn to be
the best parents, and might love to share their home with 3 or all
6, please contact me. Here's the email I received:
On another note, I've been talking to a lady in Vegas who has 6
ferrets (hers and her sisters) who need re-homing. Sister is moving
to CA, and originally wanted my help. Lady is working 2 jobs and
doesn't have adequate time for her ferrets, wants a better life for
them. This is the one I was telling you about over the phone who was
posting on CL asking a fee, to weed out the "snake food" people, per
my suggestion... anyway, she's willing to drive them to Reno, but
honestly I don't have room to take them. I will make room of course,
but do you know of any foster homes or people wanting to adopt in
your neck of the woods, that might be able to take them instead of
them coming to Reno? They can be split into pairs of 3, from what I
understand... Let me know... any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

As you all know, we no longer have a shelter here in Vegas that will adopt
out. Furpeopleweyr, bless her heart, takes in sick and older ferrets, but we all need to do our part to pick up the slack. That's why I've joined the people rescuing confiscated ferrets from the Yermo Agriculture checkpoint and go on Craigslist to let people know there's another option if they can't sell their ferrets besides dumping them at Lieds or worse.
I'd really like it if we could find these 6 ferrets a new forever
home or some of us will consider fostering until the right home is
found. I'll get more info on them when I can.
Thanks,
Lily
