Hickory, a dumbo blue berkshire rat with a chip in his ear and a chip on his shoulder as far as other ratties go, has become homeless to say the least. I rescued him and rehomed him to a friend who is really good with ratties. She turned him into a cuddler, but he hates other rats, and her ratties got evicted from her apartment. So ten ratties have been rehomed, and that last one ended up back with me. Not only do I not want a rattie, but my ferrets are out virtually every second I'm home.... Let me tell you. Some of the people in the forum may get their ferrets and rats to coexist (maybe the ferrets are laid back?) but my ferrets want to harm anything in a stinky cage with rodent eyes and buck teeth. They wanted to take down a rabbit I fostered once... he wasn't small either. So, I know Hickory would not have a chance with my crew. I feel bad for him, he only gets out for a few minutes once or twice a week, which he becomes very happy with, bruxing and cleaning himself on the floor of my "hamster's bedroom" or so we call it. He must be with me two weeks now (two weeks too long to me! ) and he already has accepted me. We've went from him being terrified of me, to he sleeps through me in the room, comes out to greet me when I call him and will let me pick him up. He's two years old approximately, give or take a half of a year. Seeking knowledged rescue/adopter for this guy! This pic doesn't do him justice, but it was the only one I was given, and my camera is full of ferret shenanigans... Oh, and he's a little pudgier now... ;D

I thought about that... I have a woman from CL that actually doesn't fit the norm of the dozens of yahoos that have written me. Hopefully that will work, or else I'll probably post in the pet store.
