From ferrets unlimited:
On the advice from our attorny the shelter must pull everything we have on the internet until he has the opportunity to go over the edvidence in the lawsuit against the shelter, we must take down any thing we have posted referencing the lawsuit mckay vs Ferrets Unlimited Ferret Shelter, etal., filed in Morrow County, case #2007 CV 00372.
This is going to be a nasty battle I am afraid.
We have now started a "starving attorney" fund here at our shelter, the funds will go to help our "starving attorney" in his gallant effort in defending those who have no voice and our shelter.
Please spead the word, you can copy and past this entire note.
Pay pal address for the "starving attorney" fund is shelter@ferretsunlimited.org please put starving attorny or need in the subject.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you on behalf of the "starving attorney". and those he defends

We are no where out of the woods, but we are still going to fight his lawsuit, and work on shutting him down. No animal should live like this. By his count there are 400 adult ferrets on that farm and 260 babies from 8 weeks to 8 months. We have no idea how many mink. The lawyer told us we would have an easier time with the law suit if we took down what was up on the web. I said no, I put it there, I said it I own it, I don't delet things. If I make a mistake I own up to it, but this is no mistake. The info is here: www.ferretsunlimited.org/news.html

I know Jean quite well, I even took some of her shelter ferrets a few months ago when she was slammed with surrenders. She and a few other folks have worked so hard to get this guy shut down. I know they can really use our help, both monetary and spiritually.

This is a tough situation for the shelter. It pains me to see someone punished for trying to protect animals. Ferrets Unlimited is a Squidoo charity, so if any of you feel like creating a Squidoo lens for your business or for fun, please consider stopping by the charity headquarters first. Squidoo is free to use, but joining through the shelter's group benefits the shelter. www.squidoo.com/FerretsUnlimited/hqI personally have created 50 Squidoo lenses and donate all my earnings to charity. It's a fun way for me to create mini-webpages and they send a check to the shelter each month on my behalf. There many are other charities to choose from, or one may choose to earn cash for their efforts instead. Julie
