was just informed by someone else that the Greater Chicago Ferret Association might be closing their doors! Please read below what they have posted on their site: VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE!! The GCFA shelter is in real danger of closing!! The GCFA is in need of a Shelter Director!! Our long time shelter "Dad" Norm Stilson has retired from the position due to immediate health issues. The Director is a volunteer position and is a big job. The responsibilities include adoptions, public relations, coordination of the daily goings on of the shelter." This position must be filled if the GCFA is to stay in existence and continue rescuing the homeless fuzzies. If you think you have the time, know how and a very big heart to fill these enormous shoes please call the shelter 708 442-8650 or email us. www.gcfa.com

How scary. I hope they find a replacement Shelter Director so they can remain open.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that an active board member or member at large will take on the challenge/duty for the Ferrets sake.
