As much as I hate to give these little guys up, I'm having some trouble finding financial aid for school and my living arrangements may have to change, putting a lot of stress on me and them and i'd like to find them a back up home in advance so they don't get neglected if things don't work out.
Vanilla face is a 8 month old female, and Bear is a 5 month old male, but already he's bigger than his "sister" Bear is a marshall ferret, I have a feeling he will get quite large. Vanilla face still has a bit of a nipping problem when she gets really excited, but she's improved drastically from when she was a kit. Bear has never bitten me and only puts his teeth on my hand gently in play. They both love to "leg grab" especially if you are just coming out of the shower.
Nilla is kind of shy, and easily spooked, but very inquisitive, she prefers to explore her surroundings thoroughly before doing anything else, she's very clever, and her main goal is finding her way into mischief.
Bear is more of a bumbly rolly polly boy. He loves to play, and often flails himself into walls or doors while doing his happy dance enthusiastically. He LOVES ferritone, and will transform into a different ferret when he smells it, stopping at nothing to get some. He will probably be a very good candidate for training with this stuff.
Nilla was about 6 months old when we got bear and was larger than him, but recently he has outgrown her so they are still going through some dominance issues. He may be bigger and appear to be picking on her sometimes, but 5 minutes later she will be chasing him around with him chattering running away from her.
They do have a cage, 2 different scented sprays, shampoo, flea shampoo, ear cleaner, 2 leashes and harnesses, a tandom leash, litter box, pet carrier, and other necessities. They will outgrow the cage, so I would like someone with ferrets already or ferret experience that already owns a large cage. The one they have is a large single story and would make a good quarantine cage, but wont work as a living cage much longer. They eat eukanuba chicken and rice kitten food, and are being weened off of iams kitten, about 50/50 of each right now. Bear is already imprinted quite stubbornly, but vanilla face is a little more open. She has already tried and loves duck soup, bear may take some coaxing.
I am asking $100 for everything, and assurance you have owned ferrets before, already have or will get a more suitable cage for them, and have a ferret knowledgable vet. Price negotiable for excellent candidates. More pics available apon request.
