I am looking for a male ferret for my Roxy-by the way whom I found out is a boy today. Not a girl. Looks like I will have to change his name, to maybe Rocky, whom I think needs a companion. I will drive a reasonable distance and pay a reasonable adoption fee.

There is a shelter/rescue place not to far from me, but my one friend lives near her and she says living near her is a nightmare because she has over 70 ferrets and the smell is horrible, you can smell it through the walls. (half of a double) I did try to contact her but she has never called me back.

YUP, Call Fathernature! He is a wonderful member here and he has plenty of ferrets. They even have some ferrets from the Ohio rescue.

Definitely call Father Nature. Him and his wife are great. I got my first two fuzzies from them!

Where in NJ do you live? Yes, the CFO is holding it's annual Ferret Fest tomorrow at the Elk's Lodge on Route 17 North, Paramus NJ (right behind Raymour & Flannigan's). Our shelter is in Washington, NJ. Shelter Mom, Tamara, is planning to bring some of the boys from the Ohio rescue to the show. Haskell's Furry Little Rascals will be at the show as well. They have a shelter in Haskell, naturally. I don't know if they are bringing any rescues or not. Someone from Fuzzy Loving Ferret Rescue in Phillipsburg will also be there.

PS - Vanessa from FACT in Connecticut will also be at the show tomorrow, just in case you are willing to drive that far to adopt.

Thank you for all the suggestions! I am going to try to contact Father Nature. I can't make the show because I'm having some family over but I definately will hope to check some of the future upcoming shows.
