Amber has bladder stones, but she was not able to have her bladder stones removed. Just before Dr. Gold was going to open her, the heart rate decreased and her rate was abnormal. We had to give her a drug to increase her heart rate and wake her up. She is on fluids every other day and is doing well so far.Hopefully, she won't block and I won't have to make a decision. Sampson needed emergency surgery on Friday (June 27, 2008). What I thought at first was a spleen, then tumor turned out to be a bladder and prostatic cyst full of 200cc of infection and bloody urine. Dr. Gold suctioned this out and made 2 holes so that the bladder wall attached to the outside of the body. He also removed a large left adrenal gland and a portion of the right. His heart rate was irregular during surgery, but he is doing great!!! He's also urinating normally so those holes should be able to be closed at a later date. Pray for these babies that they continue to do well. Amber Sampson before surgery Sampson after surgery

Gosh, all the problems these sweet little creatures have to go through just breaks my heart. Glad they are in good hands and am hoping for a quick, eventless recovery for them both. Hugs to all of you. Carolyn
