Just a brief update regarding what's going on! In case you didn't know, I got a call several weeks ago about 6 ferrets whose owner died. When I heard about the owner, my speech went from "please call me in a couple weeks" to "ok, I'll send a volunteer today. Well, they were actually abandoned in a trailer by the ex son-in-law. The place and ferrets were filthy. It appears that 3 of the 6 are older and their teeth are horrible and discolored. Ozzy, the oldest boy has an enlarged liver and is on antibiotics and anemia medicine. He goes in for a recheck and probable ultrasound this week. He has taken a special place in my heart. "Doo Dah" was found as a stray 2 weeks ago and turned into Balt. county animal control. He's an older guy that was flea infested and very tired. His hair is starting to grow back and his skin looks much better. "Winter" is a beautiful, young DEW girl that was found in a storm drain 2 weeks ago. She is doing great and of course, no one has claim her. I also got in 2 other young girls (separately) that were turned into SPCA's because the owners "no longer had time". And a big thank you to Angie for fostering 2 very special girls that probably hadn't been out of their cage in at least 6 months. Daisy is 6 and adrenal and Flower is 2 and was scared of her own shadow. Both are doing much better now. We have a couple fundraisers going on now to help with the bills. Angie is doing the online raffle (thank you all) and we are also selling Joe Corbi's pizza thru the first week of November. Have a great week.
