This is coming from a friend who is a ferret lover as well as owner....I wasn't sure if this is where I should post this but I wanted to put it up, if any of the mods read this soon could you possibly sticky it so it will stay up top for now. I have asked Pingford to keep me updated so I can update everyone here as well. Lets see if we can help these guys, the Lord knows they need it.
The shelter in Burlington, Washington (http://www. washingtonferret. org/) is severely flooded (3 feet) and
still has 30+ ferrets to evacuate to temporary foster homes. If you know anyone who would house a ferret or two temporarily in the Seattle or surrounding area, please have them call Lacy of Ferret City at 360-661-1718 or (360) 707-2739. All roads into the area are flooded and closed so the sister shelters cannot come in to help.
Donations of cash, gift cards, paper towels, ferret food, litter, etc.
can be sent to:
Lacy Ruddell
11676 Pulver Rd.
Burlington, Washington 98233
I recommend gift cards from Wal-Mart, Petco, Ferret.com, Foster's & Smith, etc. $5 is a GREAT amount to give for those of us who are limited on funds.
Please, drop me a message or email me directly at info@pingfordsporridge.com if you have any questions or need additional information.
