The person that ran South Jersey Small Animal Rescue, where I adopted my ferret from, was arrested and charged with practicing medicine without a license. It was on the local 11:00 news. Even more strange, I knew her as Dr. Danielle Smith, but she is not a woman, but a man with different last name. She has treated many animals. I am in a state of shock, this is very bizarre.

That is weird so Dr. Danielle Smith Was really not a doctor but Daniel *insert real last name* and Smith was a fake last name? Not very creative with the fake last name was *he*?

Not sure i am waiting to hear back from the detective today. I am not sure if they are aware yet of the location in cape may, nj which i know for a fact at the time i was there had about 8 ferrets, 3 big birds, and some parakeets. I am not sure if there were any reptiles on the site or dogs.

If ANYONE can help, Father Natures will take ALL the fuzzies and find homes or fosters. Please anyone with info related to the legal contacts investigating this, let us know the contact info. We need to make sure the fuzzies get out of there. I am sure there are other rescue groups willing to work on getting the other breeds.

Vineland police had me call the Cape May SPCA just to let them know about us in case they needed us in the future. It made it sound like the fake Doc was in Vineland though or at least under the Vineland juristiction. FN

I am SOOO relieved that the few animals at SJSAR are now out of there! I have called the Lower Twp. Animal Control and also the detective in charge of this case (had to leave message) about my experience with adopting Skittles from SJSAR, and to please make sure that there were no animals in the Seashore Rd. house. I cannot tell you how glad I am to find that there were only a few there, and no ferrets. But now I am worrying about where the ferrets are, she (cannot get used to calling her by man's name yet) had some there in Aug, 2 of them are her own pets. I just hope they can find all the places she supposedly used as shelters and "rescue" them. Thank you, Father Nature, for getting an answer about the ones on Seashore Rd. I have talked to Andrea today, she is the lady who blew the whistle on SJSAR after many suspicions, she said the detective already has received 35 calls about people who had dealing with the place. I also just got a call from a reporter with the Atlantic City Press, I told him all I could about my experience, which wasn't much. Now I am little freaked that Danielle and her "friend" showed up at our house 6 wks. ago, dressed in SPCA type uniforms, wearing badges........they were doing a surprize inspection, but I wasn't home so they told my husband to just bring SKittles to the door so they could see she was healthy/well fed. You couldn't write stranger stuff than this story, it will probably be a tv-movie someday!

Little update:
I just got off the phone with the detective and apparently they got evicted from the house on seashore rd and moved to Atlantic city. He took my information and is going to come get all the paperwork i have in a couple of weeks. I still cant believe this but i am glad that these people busted. Apparently Tyce's accomplice Samuel Smith is a registered Tier 2 sex offender. Talk about unreal. If i hear anything else i will definitely let everyone know. I just really hope all the animals are being taken good care of now.

I posted some links I googles onto Holstic Ferret, Ferret Village, Ferretopia and ferret.com forum. So far noone has stepped up to say they have adopted a ferret from there. One person says she may know person though and says "he" may be going through an identity crisis because "his" dad commited suicide at a very young age. But she is not sure if that is the same person yet.
Seems like this thing is way more wide spread then we all thought.
"Business cards show Tyce operated in Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean and Salem counties, and police believe Tyce may have worked in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New York as well. It appears that Tyce worked out of a string of homes in Atlantic City, Cape May and Lower Township. "
My question is if you re trying to raise money for estrogen and a sex change operation then why have all these different location where you have to pay money to live. That makes no sense.

I know for a fact that it was never said that the money Tyce raised was for sex change operation/estrogen, the woman interviewed in the Press of Atlantic City NEVER said that, she was annoyed that they would even think to put something like that in her interview. This was from the horse's mouth, I spoke to her a couple times today.

Please anyone in that area. If you hear of or find out about fuzzies in distress or being mistreated I am sure between Evelyn (Mother Nature) myself and all the WONDERFUL folks that help Father Natures on a regular basis we will move like wildfire to get them safe. Please post or PM me if we are needed. I told the folks in Vineland all our info. Thanks FN
