Sorry but just a quick note. It has been a madhouse at Father Natures the past 48 hours. Mother Nature had to run to her Mom in West Va. due to an illness and we had over 13 adoptions this weekend. So I have been holding down the fort. Little dude is doing about the same. Still not realizing when he needs to potty till it's too late and he gets so excited sometimes that he just drags his hind legs behind when they don't want to cooperate for him. Will keep all up to date time permitting. Father Nature

I haven't posted on this thread, but I've been reading and keeping up with his progress. Sounds like he's doing great.
Wow, I wish I could have 13 adoptions in one week!! That's great!

Little Dude is still having major problems realizing when he has to potty. We are watching round the clock to try and keep his little bottom dry to prevent sores. He is going through sleep sacks and blankets 5 times a day and wearing out the washer and dryer. We are making sure he always has a clean place to rest his head even though he seems to go as soon as we put fresh bedding in his cage. He is eating like a little horse and we find him raiding Blondie Boys duck soup whenever he can sneak a taste. Still waiting on the blood work results but, it has been found and a full battery of tests are being done. We found him last night after play time laying behind our couch with Blondie Boy (our bilateral adreanal survivor). It was pretty special to see as Blondie stears clear of all the other fuzzies here and seems to at least tolerate Little Dude. A big thanks to Dark Light for the promise of some bedding to help keep him comfy and reduce the work load on Mother Nature and the washing machine. We will keep the updates coming. Father Nature

Not sure if anyone knows where to get it but we are looking for a 12 inch by 12 inch peice of memory foam for Princess. We have a smaller peice 6X6", that when she doesnt fall off during the night, she seems to wake with much less stiffness. Princess is our little girl that was stomped on and has permanent spine damage and the foam supports her back better and keeps her from twisting too much. We have also been looking for shallow crocks about 3/4 inch deep by 3 inches to serve the duck soup in. Thank You Father Nature

I just hit up Michael's crafts and picked up some fabric and ribbon. I'll be making a bunch of floor bedding for little dude. It might be a bit before I can make hanging bedding as Ive run out of hooks to make hangers. But i did find where i can buy them again.
Im glad to hear that hes found a bit of a friend in Blondie Boy. And I'll keep an eye out for memory foam matting. I also went to the post office today, so theres at least 2 new beds heading your way to the shelter. I picked up a box to start packing up all the new stuff in.

Would a little pillow in Princess colors work, or should it be memory foam?

Little Dude has 2 new Moms. We had a minor jail break last night during playtime. Seems 2 of our older tiny girls, PJ and Bindie Sue were able to slide through a temporary gate we set up and came for a visit with LD. He dragged his little but up to them slowly and the girls welcomed him with open fuzzy arms. PJ gave him a gentle drag for a few inches to let him know whos boss and the rest is history. He played with them and got as rowdy as he could (and as much as they would let him) and whenever he got too rough or crazy Bindie would patiently calm him down. We would like to thank everyone for their help with the bedding offers, they are desperately needed. Father Natures has belonged to a few other groups but none that band together like TLH folk. Aaaww.. PJ and Bindie are such good girls for being nice like that. And its good to hear that hes getting chances to play with others like a normal ferret (to the best of his ability). Im sure he enjoys every second of it.
I got a little work done last night. 1 hammock and 2 floor blankets. I was really tired, so I'll try and toss the rest of the bedding together tonight.

I'm bidding on some memory foam right now on ebay. Will let you know tonight if I won it. It's queen mattress size, so I was thinking I could cut it up into 12x12 pieces, and send you a few. If I don't win it, I am checking at WalMart for it anyways. I figure my guys might like it too. I'll let you know!

Good mornin, Little Dude here. Father Nature had me dictate this to let everyone know how much I appreciate everyone at TLH and the help they have given. I am tryin to be a good boy but I just can't help it some times. I love to play with my friends here and they are all very sweet to me. One of my favorite things to do is see how many diferent food bowls I can snack from whenever I am out and about. They got lots of yummy things for me to eat here but I can't decide which is my favorite. Blondie Boys Duck Soup is really good and it warms my belly but that crunchy stuff feels good on my teeth. Well don't know what more to say other then you are ALL GREAT HUMANS and THANK YOU FOR SAVING ME!!! Little Dude

Hey Guys, Kristi and I just got back from Vacation (in Maine). We stopped in at Father Nature's to deliver lobsters and see Little Dude. So... Crystal... Ask and you shall receive!!! LD Pics!!! Here is (not so) Little Dude. Looking up at Aunt Kristi He loves being held. He actually squeeks to be picked up!!! Which is odd being that he is deaf. And how is THIS for feisty??? That is Mother Nature's (Evelyn) "helpless" foot. As I noted, LD is NOT SO little anymore. Kits don't stay kits for very long, as we all know. But he is STILL cute as a button!!! Later, Matt & Kristi (Iz, Brut, & Sinbad)
