Squilchy, verb. the feeling of nasty mud between your toes, or the weird sound tuna makes when you squeeze the water out of the can. can be used when describing nasty wet noises or feelings.. lol...

A sudden hush has fallen over Father Natures much like that hour between dusk and nightfall on the African plains. Little Dude has spotted his prey. An unsuspecting Blondie Boy dines on his recent kill of duck soup unaware that in the near distance LD lurks. Taking a momentary break from the soup Blondie Boy works his way across the vast polished floor, taking time to clean his chin on the patches of throw rugs along the way. LD sensing an opportunity moves with the speed and grace of a baby seal on ice. Inexperience has caused him to misjudge the required stopping distance on the floor and he overshoots his prey. In a last ditch effort LD extends his rapier like claws, grasping at the duck soup. His glancing blow sends the bowl spinning like a top across the floor spilling most of the contents. Not to be denied LD turns and using cat like stealth, stalks the bowl slowly. As his muscles coil to pounce he checks left then right for signs of Blondie Boys return. Nothing, the coast is clear. He can taste sweet victory. Then from above swoops Mother Nature to retrieve the dirty bowl for cleaning. LD curses her OCD with cleanliness and sulks back to his hidey hole to hunt another day.

LItlle Dude has been renamed to NSLD (not so little dude). He is growing like a weed and always on the prowl for trouble. His use of the hind legs is improoving with his therapy and all the additional carpets we have put down for him but, still an issue with the potty. He does seem to get a feeling every once in a while but more times not. He's up to about 1 out of 7 for hitting the litter box and with the way he eats and goes I'll take those odds. NSLD is the light of our rescue and loves to try and get our old timers spooled up but is a little cry baby when the females try to put him in his place and let him know he is being too rough at play time. Will keep the updates a commin. Keith

well, 1 out of 7 is better than 0 out of 7. and its good to know hes starting to use his hind legs a little more because of the rugs. also- ive got some time off comming up because of the wedding, so i'll be getting time to work on the rest of the beds and get them sent down to you.

Little Dude here. Father Nature has been very busy lately so I told him I would take care of the update. I have been having a wonderful time here playin with all my new friends. Father gave me some bad news today. He said in fuzzy sign language that my 2 buddies PJ and Dakota have got somthin called adrenal disease and need operations. I don't know what them things is but they better not hurt my friends. Father says they will get the operation as soon as he can to get them back to playin with me. They are such good friends and I am a little scared cause I don't understand what an operation is but Mother and Father Nature look really worried. Please keep PJ and Dakota in your happy dreams and maybe they will be able to play with me again soon. By the way Mother says I am getting fat and sassy. Any idea what sassy means? Bye Bye, from me, Little Dude.

Good Morning everyone, Little Dude here. It was a great weekend at Father Natures. A whole bunch of new fuzzy friends came in and a few found forever homes. Uncle Mat and Aunt Christy came over for a visit and played with me. I love when they come by but I think Uncle Mat needs to see the Vet. Everytime he looks at me with that big eye a flash of light comes out of his head. It seems to happen an awful lot especially when he's real close. It don't happen when he talks to Mother and Father Nature but maybe he should have that looked at. Well I have some important business to attend to. Looks like it's duck soup huntin time... Talk to ya soon Little Dude

"Carpet Shark Attack!!!" Victim - ME!!! (Uncle Matt) LD is SUCH a fiesty fuzzbutt. It's such a joy to visit him. And to think what his fate would've been if we DIDN'T rescue him. That's a great pic. I guess I need to find a professional photographer to come take pics of my fuzzies. Normally I end up with blurry ferret butts.
